Naimah Dieme’s Fundraising Page

We are starting this fundraiser in support of Naimah Dieme who, at age 3, was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma. The diagnosis came in February 2012 – a few months after the family purchased a new home and a month before her family welcomed her baby sister, Sarah, into this world. Christine (Naimah’s mom and a personal friend) has understandably quit her job to focus on the health of her children. With Naimah’s chemotherapy regimen – plus a new house and newborn – Christine and Mamadou (Naimah’s dad) have been overwhelmed with an unexpected financial burden and the emotional toll of navigating a difficult diagnosis and treatment course.

Naimah is currently continuing her chemotherapy and will receive a bone marrow transplant in the next few months. Despite the arduous treatment and accompanying fatigue and nausea, Naimah is a fighter and continues to be a typical 3 ½ year old girl – playful, loving, and stubborn!

The “we” behind this fundraiser are friends of the Dieme family who want to support them during this difficult time. I think we would all agree that the last thing the family should be worried about right now is money.
